She was predeceased by: her parents, John Parsley and Mable Parsley; her husband Bernard Joseph "Pete" Peay; and her siblings, Wallace (Hobo), Alton (Shine), Paul, Mason, Jane and Norma.

She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Edwards (Tim) of Mechanicsville; her grandsons, Cole, Zach Johnson and Blake Edwards; and her siblings, Shirley Higgins, Verna Lee Gatewood of New Kent and Jimmy Parsley of New Kent.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church.
