He is survived by: his wife Nancy Loope Proffitt; his son Ronald R. Proffitt (Kelly); his grandchildren, Abby Proffitt, Kara Proffitt and Brett Stone (Amanda); and his siblings-in-law, Lou Loope Ramsey, James H. Loope (Lillian), William "Bill" Loope (Margie) and John D. Loope (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
