He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Preston; his grandson Robert Olin Hanners, III (Rob); his brothers, Herman Hutchinson, Buster Hutchinson and Jerry Hutchinson; his sister-in-law Linda Hutchinson; and his sisters, Roxie Belvins and Goldie Lam.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hutchinson; his children, Betty Hanners-Scott (James), Missy Armes (Brad) and Johnny Hutchinson (Kay); and his siblings-in-law, Geneva Hutchinson, Wayne Greenway (Shelia) and Dennis Greenway. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
