He was predeceased by: his parent Gates Brown Gibson; and his siblings, John Gibson and Deanna Kay Gibson. He is survived by: his parent Pauline Hodges Allen; his children, Genie Gibson Butler (David) of Salem and Mark Brian Gibson of Lynchburg; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Elaine Bost of Salem.
