William Woodson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2019, at the age of 92, William Woodson (New Canton, Virginia), born in Buckingham, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Emmett Woodson and Ella Toney Fisher; his brothers, Walter Richardson Woodson and Willis Glover Woodson; and his grandson Scott Hamby.

He is survived by: his wife Lou Ellen Woodson; his children, Brenda Woodson Hamby (Mike) and Roger Keith Woodson; his grandchildren, Clint Hamby (Jennifer), Jennifer Duty (Jeff), Derek Woodson and Chad Woodson; his great grandchildren, Clay Allen-Hamby, Annalee Duty and James Duty; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Parks, Audrey Parks, Rusty Branch and Natalie Hintz; his sister Edith Evans; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Woodson and Howard Dunivan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Buckingham Baptist Church.
