She was predeceased by: her spouse Acie W. Thomas; her parents, L. J. Dunkum and Katie Dunkum; and her brother Maynard Dunkum. She is survived by: her sons, Luther C. Thomas (Margaret) of Buckingham and Dr. Shelton W. Thomas (Linda) of Richmond; her sister Peggy D. McGowan (Ronald) of Boiling Spring; and her grandchildren, Patrick, Katie, Martha, Stacy, Emily, Bennett, Caroline, Chelsea and Garrett. She is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 404 Thomas Road, Dillwyn, VA 23936.
