He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivory Thomas Oakley and Ruby Fuller Oakley; his wife Barbara Keeton Oakley; his son Dwayne Lynn Oakley; and his siblings, Reed Oakley, Coy Oakley, Russell Oakley and Margaret Ercell Oakley.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Ann Oakley Keeton (Joseph), Bobby Lee Oakley and Scotty Samuel Oakley; his grandson Tommy Lee Evans; his daughter Tammy Evans; his stepgranddaughter Catherine Gilbert; his brother Lawrence Haywood Oakley (Regina); his sisters-in-law, Faye Oakley and Shirley Kaywood; and his close friend Shirley Hutchins. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oakley Family Cemetery (319 Wilson Newton Rd, Virgilina, VA 24580).
