He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Kidd and Irene Kidd of Nelson County, VA.; his wife Becky Kidd; his brother Donald Kidd; his half-sisters, Betty White and Peggy Mawyer; and his close friend Trudy Yates. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Cat Action Team of Charlottesville (catactionteam.org).
