She is survived by: her daughter Deborah; her son-in-law Ronnie Pulliam of Virgilina; her grandchildren, Robin McAlexander, Kelly Ballance, Kirk Hayes and Jodi Valeri; her daughter-in-law Judy Hayes; and her grandsons, Frederick and Leo Julian Carden, Jr.. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
