He was predeceased by: his father Freeman Pettaway; and his siblings, Mary Hargrove, Anna Pettaway and William "Dick" Pettaway. He is survived by: his wife Mae Ruth Pettaway of Nelson, VA; his daughters, Naketti Marrow (Ronnie) of Nelson, VA and Tarasha Pettaway (Derrick) of Buffalo Junction, VA; and his brother John Pettaway (Frances) of Nelson, VA. He is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
