She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Allen Puckett and Annie Mae Riggan Puckett; her husband Thomas Grey Hayes; her son Thomas Ray Hayes; her brothers, Macy and Earl; and her half-siblings, Alvis, James, Carl, Fred, Taylor and Mildred Daniel.
She is survived by: her sons, L. Allen Hayes (Teresa) and Linwood Martin Hayes (Nancye Renae); her grandchildren, Summer Bynum Lykins, T. J. Hayes and Christopher Hayes; her great grandchild Nathan Lykins; and her sister Linda White (David).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Averett Baptist Church (2654 Averett Church Rd, Nelson, VA 24580). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Oakhurst Cemetery (185 Buffalo Rd, Clarksville, VA 23927).
