He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl John Deddens and Jane Elizabeth Bickett; his wife Mary Lee Wright Deddens; and his brother John Francis "Jack" Deddens. He is survived by: his sister Mairi Joyce "Piggy" Deddens; his children, John Carroll Deddens (Rachel), Robert Deddens (Chantelle), Beth "Snooks" Schubert (John) and James Lee Deddens; his grandchildren, Chris, Margaret "Busybody", Tracy, Sarah, Bennett, Jonathan "Bud", Anna, Thomas, James "Jimmy", Olivia "Gigglebox", Mary Lee, Tess "Chatterbox" and Katie "Katydid"; and his great grandchildren, Layla, Shiloh, Clay, Boadie, Millie, Andrew, Tinsley, Stella, Sawyer, Henry, Eli, Opal and Benjamin.
