She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pearson Duncan and Ada Hughes Duncan; her husband John L. Thompson, Sr.; and her sister Marion Duncan Falls. She is survived by: her son John L. Thompson, Jr. (Cindy); her grandsons, John Glenn Thompson (Jenny) and Phillip Thompson (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Amber Thompson, Glenn Thompson and John Parker Thompson; and her niece Joyce Rae Falls Turner (Rodger).
