He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cox and Jesse Cox; and his brothers, Junior Cox and Harry Cox. He is survived by: his children, Kallie Blake (Matt), Katie Watts (David) and Carol; his son-in-law Mike Deisher; his grandchild Taylor Deisher (Bryan Campbell); his daughter Elizabeth Whittaker (Mitchell Cundiff); his grandchildren, Sarah Griffin (Chris), Laura Tuttle (Evan) and Marcus Whittaker; and his great grandchildren, Kori Blake, Maci Blake, Bynlee Watts and Maddie Watts.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's East Chapel. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Family Cemetery.
