He is survived by: his wife Diane Dalton Short; his stepchildren, Darrell, Jerald, April, Jeanie Pullium and William David Arthur (Krystal); his grandson Jacob Arthur; his sisters, Rhonda Taylor (Tony) of Amelia, Barbara Fisher (Wayne) of Volens and Pamela Sterusky (Mark) of Charleston, S. C.; his aunt Annie Mae Short; his parents-in-law, Betty Myers and Carlton Dalton (Linda); his siblings-in-law, Gwen Bruce of Hurt and Jeffrey Vaughn; his nephews, Wesley Haynes, C. W. Fisher and Cody Vaughn; his niece Rebecca Taylor; and his close friend Timmy Betterton.
