He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mike Brooks of Madison Heights, VA, Ashley Kidd (Scotty) of Madison Heights, VA and Tammy Nelson (Forest); his sister Vernell Oakes of South Boston; his niece Susan Crews; and his nephews, Randy Jones and Gary Jones.
