He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jennings Barksdale; his daughters, Linda Quarles of South Boston, Dr. Debra Barksdale of Greensboro, Brenda Barksdale and Wilma; his siblings, Lenwood Barksdale of Suffolk, VA and Emma Jean Young of Baltimore, MD; his uncle Roosevelt Barksdale; his aunts, Lorrine Boyd and Marie Jackson; his grandchildren, Kevin, Keon, Monique, Latisha, Crystal, Tiffany, Faith (Rodney), Amber (Clif), Shanique, Shanitra, Shaquitta and Isaiah; his great grandchildren, Leondra, Osiris, Kra'Siyah, Tyriq, Amira, Kadence, Brooklyn, Aleena, Asad and Vera Sage; and his great great grandchildren, Kayson, Keenan, Jaquan, Jr., Ezekiel, Omir and Mallorie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
