He is survived by: his wife Dianne Chandler Shortt of Charlotte, NC; his daughters, Renee S. Harper (Steve) of Cary, NC and Carla S. Bunge (Jason) of Jupiter, FL; his grandson Jay Edward Bunge; and his siblings, Garnett Shortt (Carolyn) of South Boston, Phillip Shortt of Richmond, Wayne Shortt (Mary Jo) of Altavista and Betty Sue Shortt of Nathalie.
