He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Thom Moorefield of South Boston, Michael Moorefield of South Boston, Dr. Teah Bayless (Charles) of Raleigh, NC and Melanie Perkins of Scottsburg; and his grandchildren, Paige, Madison, Jonathan, Willow, Joshua (Dani), Brianna, Cameron and Aric.

“Danny is also survived by his only sister Nancy Moorefield Estes. Danny was my uncle and will be missed. Although it’s been sometime since seeing him I still remember Sunday visits and holiday get togethers growing up. We all use to be so close. It’s a shame how life happens, time gets away from us, and the next thing you know there is no more time. I love you uncle Danny!”
