He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Russell Founds Sr. and Alice Nielson Founds; his sister Dawn C. Founds; and his friends, Victor Pruitt, Gene Crockett and Benjy Nicolls.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Nurnberg Founds of Schooner Bay; his children, Laurie Smith and Carrie Founds; his brother Dean M. Founds of Delaware; and his friends, Josh Yunker and Mike Gonzalez. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
