It is with great sadness that we announce the death of April Lynn Barnes of Nassawadox, Virginia, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though April may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those April touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Barnes; her parents, Richard Thompson and Alice Thompson of Newport News; her sisters, Jennifer Mangus of Poquoson and Thelma Reese of Indiana; and her nieces and nephews, Alexis Faulcon, Riley Reese and Derrick Taylor.
