He was predeceased by: his spouse Lurlee Ann Jordan Slate; his parents, William Vest Slate and Mabel Holt Slate; his son James "Jimmy" Walker Jordan (Amy) of Naruna; and his sisters, Carolyn Mason (Marvin) and Marion Berkley (Marvin).
He is survived by: his children, Ted Jordan (Michelle) of Forest and Janet S. Hamlett (Eddie Clark) of Lynchburg; and his daughter-in-law Judy Jordan of Forest. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
