He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Elmore and Joyce Martin Elmore; and his sister Reese Elmore. He is survived by: his wife Karen Quesenberry Elmore; his children, Robert Elmore of Blacksburg, Richard Elmore of Rich Creek, Valerie Mullins of Blacksburg and Kendra Elmore of Narrows; and his sister Cindy Journell of Blacksburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
