He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Roop and Anna Lee Dowdy Shaver; his son-in-law Wally Lawson; his brothers, Dick Shaver and Billy Shaver; and his sister-in-law Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Shaver; his daughters, Lavonda Lawson and Angie Frazier (Greg); his grandchildren, Levi and Ella; his stepgranddaughter Devon Frazier; his brother Melvin; and his siblings-in-law, Melinda Shaver, Jeanne Davis, Janie Moss, Yvonne Shaver and Jackie Vaught. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
