It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Paul Perkins of Narrows, Virginia, born in Pearisburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Earnest Perkins and Hattie Maybell Blankenship Perkins; and his siblings, Wilson Perkins, Maggie Martin and Lucille Martin.

He is survived by : his wife Susan Marie Estep Perkins of Narrows; his children, Samantha "Nikki" McCraw (Marcus) of Newport, Kimberly "Kimmie" Perkins (Dillon) of Pearisburg and Michael Paul Perkins of Narrows; and his grandchildren, Riley, Baylee, Nova, Kaydyn, Nicole and Allie. He is also survived by his family and friends.
