It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Freeman of Narrows, Virginia, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cue Freeman and Annie Freeman; his wife Shirley; his son Michael; and his brothers, Alfred and David.
He is survived by: his sisters, Nora and Alberta; his daughter Ramona (Phil Wood); his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Wilkerson, Ronald Wilkerson, Charles Wilkerson, Gladys Bailey and Paula Wilkerson; his son-in-law Thomas Peoples; his grandsons, Dwight Scott, Tony Peoples, Michael Peoples (Tee) and CJ Lee (Erica Lee); his stepgrandchildren, Stephen Wood, Christopher Wood and Samantha Lucas; his cousin Shirley Johnson; and his close friend Mary Brooks.
