He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Dalton and Mary Via Dalton; his wife Wanda Stanley Dalton; and his daughter Martha Payne. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Dalton, Elis "Bubby" Dalton and Lynn Combs; his grandchildren, Barbara Combs (Conway), Jeremy Payne (Tiffany), Arnold Long (Chelsie), Ernest Long (Alicia), Daisy Scott, Angela St. Clair, James St and Clair; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Jarrett, Abagail, Aubree, Heaven, Grayson, Elsa, James, Angel, Chris and Kat; and his brother Ernest Dalton (Mary).
