He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Sable and John Paul Sable Sr.; and his brothers, Matthew, John and Michael.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Cathleen Sable; his daughter Alicia Gail Sterbutzel; his son-in-law Peter; his daughter Katherine Sable Sterbutzel; his son-in-law Jan; his grandchildren, Levin, Penn and Brett; his siblings, Mark (Joan), Luke (Denise) and Carolyn McCrane (Michael); his siblings-in-law, Jackie, Carolyn, Lynn Peterson, Janet Bredes (Bruce) and Walter Tramposch; and his friend Nancy Foltz. He is also survived by Uncle.
