Karen VanHoy Spencer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen VanHoy Spencer of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 64. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen VanHoy Spencer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lilly Campbell VanHoy; and her brother Julian Russell "Rusty" VanHoy. She is survived by: her father Robert R. VanHoy of Jefferson, NC; her husband Johnny Spencer; her children, Melissa Weaver of Jefferson, NC and John Patrick (Linsey Spencer); her grandson Joseph Weaver of Jefferson, NC; her siblings, Michael (Julie VanHoy), D. David (Michelle VanHoy), Linda VanHoy of Independence, VA and Carol (Corkey Sheets); and her sister-in-law Ashley VanHoy of Jefferson, NC. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church.
