Bobby G. Austin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby G. Austin of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bobby G. Austin to pay them a last tribute.
Though Bobby may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bobby touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Austin and Mildred McMillan Austin. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Richardson Austin; his stepdaughter Vickie Flanagan of Lansing; his siblings, Bonnie Jennings of Independence, VA, Linda Austin of Mouth and Kenny Austin of Mouth; and his stepmother Gladys Austin of Grassy Creek. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his cat.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at the Piney Creek Methodist Church Cemetery (296 Pugh Rd, Piney Creek, NC 28663).
