It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne E. Shank of Mount Solon, Virginia, who passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shank and Hazel Shank (Knott); his children, Dennis Shank and Gloria McCray; and his grandson Brandon McCray.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Shank (Marilynn) of Mount Solon, John Shank (Tammy Halterman) of Mount Solon and Everett Shank of Mount Solon; his daughter-in-law Dana Shank of Mount Solon; his grandchildren, Ciara Bayne (Cody), Joshua Shank (Megan Mathis), Raven Smith and Travis McCray; his great grandchild Caroline Bayne; and his stepgrandson Dalton Halterman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service to help offset funeral expenses.
