She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard A. Caracofe and Maude Caracofe (Sounders); her husband Warren Lee Furr; her grandchildren, Carrie Irene Taulbee and Dewayne L. Smith; and her siblings, Julian Caracofe, Lewis Caracofe, Evelyn Smiley, Doris Atkins and Myrtle Caracofe.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Lee Smith of Mt. Solon, Mary Frances Casady of Churchville, Debra Kaye Simmers of Harriman, TN, William Leonard "Dubby" Furr of Alexandria and Darrel Wayne Furr of Harrisonburg; and her granddaughter Kimberly Joy Simmers-Wismann. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 6 great-great granchildren.
