John R. Shiflet Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2024, at the age of 91, John R. Shiflet of Mount Solon, Virginia, born in Malden, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Shiflet to pay them a last tribute.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Paul Ralston Shiflet and Bessie Isabell Shiflet (Powell); and his wife Christine Shiflet (Daniel). He is survived by: his sons, Steven Ralston Shiflet (Kyra) of Mt. Solon, Julian Reid Shiflet (Lori) of Mt. Solon, Alan Dale Shiflet (Dora) of Bridgewater and Timothy Long Shiflet of McGaheysville; and his sister Jane Rexrode of Waynesboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
