With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Joseph Zimmerman (Mount Solon, Virginia), who passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reada Zimmerman (Cook) and Minor J. Zimmerman; and his sister Rhoene Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Erma Zimmerman (Greer); his children, Cara Walton (Bradley) of Harrisonburg, Bryan Zimmerman (Masha Skuratovskaya) of Juneau, AK and Greg Zimmerman (Holly) of Harrisonburg; and his siblings, Phyllis Wampler of Mt. Solon, Barbara Emmett (Johnnie) of Frederick, MD and Irvin Dale Zimmerman of Mt. Solon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
