Though Neil Patrick may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Neil Patrick touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Walter, Ailne Vanlear and Norman C. Hart. He is survived by: his parents, Ronald W. Vanlear and Diane Hart Dill (Kevin); his wife Cathy; his daughter Destiny Hawley; and his brother David Vanlear (Damon Wilson).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lebanon Church of the Brethren (1168 Lebanon Church Rd, Mt Sidney, VA 24467).
