Johnson (Samantha); his grandchildren, Emelie Douglas (Scott), Kristina Roy (Matthew), Tyler Johnson (U. S. Army) and Nicholas Johnson; his great grandchildren, Amelia Grace, Ella Brooke and Winsley Mara; his sisters, Elizabeth Baldwin Johnson Fitzpatrick (William) and Ann Titus Johnson Palches (Peter); his nieces, Amy Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, Kathleen Suzanne Fitzpatrick (Jarel) and Patricia Fitzpatrick Sweeny (Matthew); his nephew Jakob Palches; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Riley Nicole and Maya Lee; his former wife Karen Kuss Johnson; and his significant other Jane "Maggie" Lawson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shrine Mont or The Washington National Cathedral.
