He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland L. Hackenbracht Sr. and Mildred Hathaway Hackenbracht; his grandson Christopher Cox; his brother Roland Hackenbracht Jr.; his sister-in-law Gloria Hackenbracht; his son-in-law Douglas Rowling; and his siblings-in-law, Donald, Marcella Eberwine, Janet Beaber and Mary Lou Huprich.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Huprich Hackenbracht; his children, LuAnn H. Rowling of Mount Jackson, Karen L. Hackenbracht of Harrisonburg and Howard L. Hackenbracht (Jennifer) of Mount Jackson; his grandchildren, Justin Rowling, Sarah Rowling, Blake Cox (Shauna), Troy Hackenbracht (Emily) and Katelyn Byram (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Seneca Cox, Reid Byram and Levi Hackenbracht; and his brothers, Wayne (Diana Beaber), Ted (Linda Oswald) and Dean Huprich of Cambridge, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
