She was predeceased by: her parents, Courtland Lee and Ruby May Collins Polk. She is survived by: her husband Sam; her children, Sam Jr. and Laura May (Lindamood'); and her siblings, Goldie E. Rose, Pauline "Penny" N Coleman and Noah L. Polk (Linda) of Gloucester, VA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
