He is survived by: his wife Naomi Mitchell Whetzel; his children, Julia Artz (Dana), William Whetzel (Veronica) and James Whetzel (Beth); his grandchildren, Melanie, Amanda, Caitlin, Sapphire and Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana, Thomas and Clayton.
