He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Swartz and Mary Milstead Swartz; his wife Audrey Showalter; and his brothers, Paul W. Swartz, Jr. and Norman Wayne Swartz.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Ray Swartz and Theodore Wayne Swartz; and his siblings, Lawrence (Vicki Swartz) and Doris J. Riggleman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
