It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Margaret (Wilfong) Simmers of Mount Crawford, Virginia, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert A. Wilfong and Lena Wilfong (Smith); her husband Roy Simmers; her sisters, Betty Glick and Debbie Custer; and her brothers-in-law, Fred Custer and Joe Glick.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Simmers (Nadine) of Mount Crawford; her sisters, Janie Beach (John), Sue Boone, Cyndi Smith and Dottie Custer; her brother-in-law Jay Custer; her grandson Jay Whetzel (Susie); her great grandchildren, Zachary Custer, Faith Whetzel and Destiny Whetzel; and her close friend Eleanor Davis (Jim). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
