He is survived by: his parents, Dulcilio Velez and Donna Velez (Hale); his wife Sheila Michelle Velez; his son Derek Velez; his stepchildren, Jeyshka Jimenez and Victor Jimenez; his grandson Jacob Rivera; his brother Adam Velez; his nephews, Brent and Caleb; and his niece Alina.
