It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Robert Powell of Montvale, Virginia, born in Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on June 13, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Richardson Powell and Goldie Karnes Powell. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Mae Ross Powell; his children, Charles Everett Powell (Lucy) and Penny Powell Arrington (Mark); his grandchildren, Courtney Powell, Morgan Powell, Nicholas Powell, Ted Arrington, Luke Arrington and Hannah Arrington; his great grandchild Madilyn Leigh Arrington; and his siblings, Elbert Powell (Barbara), Nancy Witt and Patsy Keller (Pepper).
