He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Harold Hartzell and Jean Bull Hartzell; his wife Eva Jarzembska; and his siblings, Graham, Janice (Mullens), Mary (Boutelle), Clinton, Ann (Weishaar), Jean (Clayton), David and Sara Hartzell (Smith).
He is survived by: his friend Carolyn Barranca. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
