She was predeceased by: her husband Allen Tate, Sr.; her parents, Daniel Wilson Padgett and Meta Barrett Padgett; and her siblings, Carl Edward Padgett, James Daniel Padgett, Josephine P. Jenkins, Helen P. Berry and Shirley P. Smallwood.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Tate of Montross and Allen "Buddy" Tate, Jr. of Fredericksburg; and her grandchildren, Christina Marquez (Marcus) of King George and Allen Tate, III of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
