He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henry Mauk and LaRue Edna Long Mauk; his wife Edna S. Lodge Mauk; his children, Dr. Debbie M. Ryder (John), John H. Mauk, Jr. and Thomas M. Mauk (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Michelle Hernandez, John H. Mauk III, Kayleigh Mauk and Thomas M. Mauk, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Bryan Hernandez and Nathaniel Hernandez; and his sister Joyce Justice (William).
