It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Katherine Podpaly of Montross, Virginia, born in Williamstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Woodrow Umholtz and Catherine Lydia Kiehl Smith; and her husband Alex Podpaly. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Meline and Cherie Henry; her grandchildren, Melanie Meline, Aimee Meline, Noah Podpaly, William Holden and Teagan Henry; her great grandchildren, Logan McCauley and Madalyn McCauley; her son-law P. J. Henry; her brother-in-law Gordon Kochenour; and also Wanda Kochenour. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
