It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Belle Langmack of Montross, Virginia, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cary Malcolm and Dorothy Belle Leutbecher Scates; her husband Holger Christian Petersen Langmack, Jr.; her brother Cary Malcolm Scates, II; and the fathers of children, David Morrow Blair and John Edward Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, David Malcolm Blair, Betty Lee "Teeter" Blair, John Edward Lewis, Jr., Kenneth Madison Lewis and Malcolm Scates Lewis; and her cousin Julia Ann Maske Goad. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested that all friends and family perform a "random act of kindness" for someone else, as she so enjoyed doing herself.
