Betty Lee Coates Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lee Coates (Montross, Virginia), who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Henry Balderson and Alice Marie Balderson; her husband Columbus Burnell "Pete" Coates; her pet Tuffy; and her siblings, William Balderson, Jack Balderson, Wayne Balderson and Mary Ellen Marks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce "JoJo" Coates of Warsaw and Florence "Flo" Jones (Chester) of Warsaw; her sisters, Eunice Allison (Robert) of Colonial Beach, Arlene Purcell of Callao and Darlene Jones (Donnie) of Warsaw; and her caregivers, Caren Awad, Jane Pedraza and Marianne Jackson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to be made out to Welcome Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the Welcome Grove Baptist Church Shoebox Ministry, 7368 Newland Road, Warsaw, Virginia 22572.
