He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hart Morris, Jr. and Evelyn Battaile Morris; his son Benjamin Battaile "Bat" Morris; and his siblings, June Morris and John Hart Morris, III.
He is survived by: his wife Isobel "Middy" Morris; his children, Judith M. Harding (Breezy), John D. Morris (Penny) and R. Kennon Morris (Michele); his grandchildren, Battaile Fauber, Sarah Harding, Brooke Harding, Benj Harding, Carlin Morris, Lacey Nietzey, Cole Morris, Alex Lanks and Tori Dickerson; his stepchildren, June Burgess (Rudy) and Will Henley (Jennifer); and his stepgrandchildren, Lilly Tyson, Nicole Burns, Christiana Dominguez, Ben Henley, Zack Henley and Kayla Milligan. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland Volunteer Fire Department or to St. James Episcopal Church.
